When the regulator is attached to (2) two full LP/propane bottles, place both valves in the open position (with the lever pointing towards the bottle you want to start with) and this 2-stage auto-changeover regulator will automatically switch to the other bottle without the pilot light going out or have your appliances to go off due to no propane. The indicator at the end of regulator will show RED letting you know that tank is empty (the one the lever is pointing towards) and is now using off the other tank. Move the lever to point towards the full bottle and the indicator will change to GREEN, now close the valve on the empty bottle, remove the bottle and have refilled then replace & open the valve...now you're ready to repeat when the other tank goes empty.

The backside of regulator has screw holes to use existing screws to attach to mounting bracket, if needed. Screw holes measure 3-1/2" L x 1" W.
