They do, however, require ventilation, to replace the oxygen consumed by the heater and occupants. It is recommended you have two openings, one low and one high, at opposite ends of the RV. By opening the 14 X 14 roof vent approximately 1/3" and opening a window at the opposite end of the RV, again by approximately 1/3", will accomplish this.
